are the only site to have reported for so long and without fail). For now, we will stop updates

Final Fantasy 8 Week
This week is hopefully going to be concentrated on Final Fantasy 8 as I strive to supply the best guides, tips etc to this epic which has astounded millions with its sheer brilliance.
To begin with, I have done a world map with loads of locations, and also I have done a more detailed page on finding all the Guardian Forces.

Final Fantasy 8 Soundtrack Released
Despite earlier reports that the Final Fantasy VIII Soundtrack will be released on March 10th in Japan (A day before the release of the Final Fantasy Collection/Anthology over there), the official compact disc has found its way onto shelves. The four CD pack, retailing at 3800 yen ($30), contains every piece of music used in the game and a ten page booklet containing lyrics, artwork and interviews with Nobuo Uematsu (author of all Final Fantasy's musical works). The album joins Faye Wong's "Eyes on Me" theme released as a single in February this year. Watch this space to see how well it sells in Japan's music charts (it could be the first ever videogame music to reach the music charts number 1 spot, that's how big Final Fantasy 8 is over there). It certainly has a lot to live up to with Final Fantasy 7's soundtrack reaching number 3 back in 1996.

Final Fantasy 8 Bugged!!
It happened in Final Fantasy 6 and 7, and the latest installment is no exception.
Over the weekend, a bug was found in Final Fantasy 8 which was serious enough to warrent a 400 yen decline in Square's individual share price as 1000s of disgruntled customers returned their copies of the game.
Of course, Square deny all knowledge of this, saying that no copies had been recieved on the discovery of any gameplay affecting bug. However, there are also reports of Square taking in customer's memory cards to investigate the allegations.
The error occurs on the third disc where the player has to finish a certain are in a time limit. If that time limit is expired during a regular battle and the player then chooses to return to the entrance, the game freezes and there is nothing to be done short of reseting the Playstation. Click
here for more details on that so importers can avoid it (Warning, mild spoilers).
A bug (glitch) of some sort has become inevitable in a Final Fantasy game due to the shear vastness of the brute. Such a large game results in millions of lines of code which has to be systematically checked before commercial release. Therefore, some errors are bound to slip through the net, but lets hope that this is the only one we will see in Final Fantasy 8...
Of course, the bug will be fixed in time for the western releases.
