Predictably, another update on the remaining races would follow and here we have it: the second part of “Those who live in Ivalice”.

In the first part, Humes and Viera were covered, that’s two of the five main races down-three more to go. Though before diving into the nitty-gritty stuff--a little more information on a race that should be familiar to all gamers:

Humes

A Hume couple posing for the cameraBeing the predominant race of Ivalice, Humes are the most spread out, some enjoy travelling the world while others are content to staying in one region. Fashion and styles are different from region to region, but there’s one constant amongst all Humes: they’re valiant fighters. Humes are skilled in wielding both magic and weapons despite lacking any sort of special abilities. Due to occupation, residents of certain areas such as Rabanastre are no longer able to come and go as they please.

Bangaa

The Bangaa come in alllll prettiful colours of the rainbow

That's a nifty helmetIt’s hard to doubt that Bangaa are descended from reptiles when one notes their scaly bodies. Bangaa are known to live up to one and half or even two times longer than an average Hume and to balance their longevity, Bangaa reproduce at a lower rate than other races.

Another curious trait of the Bangaa is the strange tattoos a large number of their species have on their shoulders. Not many are able to discern the reasons behind these markings save most likely the Bangaa themselves.

There are four sub-groups of the Bangaa, each division is based on colour:

-Bangaa-Ruga: Yellow-Brown skin
-Bangaa-Faas: Bronze skin, shorter ears
-Bangaa-Bista: Red-brown skin
-Bangaa-Sanga: Ash or grey skin

With their low hanging ears and long snout the Bangaa have an acute sense of hearing and smell and are both strong and mobile. Their weakness, however, lies in their inability to use the most basic of magic spells. Not all Bangaa are inept at using magic, there are some that are able to use a brand of higher-level magic that is exclusive to their race only. Yet for all their potential, most Bangaa are used for manual labour such as heavy lifting.

Moogle

Moogles are so cute that they're scary

Ain't he a stud?Moogles are small in size but what they lack in height and weight they make up for in their nimbleness. They’re a swift and intelligent race, well respected by Humes and are known to be the ones who constructed the first airship. Most are 80 to 120 cm tall and all are able to fly using their bat-like wings to elevate themselves.

It’s because of their technological wonders that they’ve brought into the world that they’re able to lead lifestyles similar to Humes. There exists a Moogle city that is built proportionate to their size. In the economic world, Moogles usually become engineers though some have become knights and even mages.

Yet for all their advances, even the brightest of Moogles are still unable to make sense of certain ancient machines and are still puzzling over these ruins.

Seeq

Adorable aren't they?

What in the world is holding that crotch guard up?!Seeqs are a strong race that evolved from pigs. They have great upper body strength and speed and are aggressive in nature. For their menacing disposition most Seeqs are employed as mercenaries, guards or hunters. Seeqs lead hard-broiled lives due to their inability to meet Hume standards of intelligence, some being incapable of speaking the Hume language. Most have a propensity to steal, having an eye for shiny objects.
