Final Fantasy IV To Get The
PlayStation Treatment?

Final Fantasy III Title Screen
A surprise success in the US, but nowhere near as in Japan...
December 20th, 2000 - According to numerous large gaming sites, Final Fantasy IX isn't the last Final Fantasy to appear on the first PlayStation!

You read correct: Square have been contacting large gaming publications telling them that they are considering bringing Final Fantasy IV (released as Final Fantasy II in the U.S. on the SNES) and Chrono Trigger (originally released on the SNES) to North America in summer 2001.

"We're looking into the possibility of bringing Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV to North America... But nothing has been officially announced," commented a Square representative.

Never re-released in Final Fantasy Anthology for the PlayStation yet re-released in the Japanese equivalent of Final Fantasy Collection, the possibility of Final Fantasy IV making a comeback will please many old-time fans who deem this as the best in the series.
