Zidane and co. confront Garland!

Garland sends a lackey, the Silver Dragon, to fight the group. Here, it unleashes one of its attacks, "Shockwave", that hits everyone for quite a bit of damage.

The group takes on Garland!

Dagger glows, as she casts a spell (or perhaps summoning an eidolon?).

Kuja takes over the Invincible, and has a nice round of megalomaniacal gloating.
|
|
|
|
Kuja descends from the Invincible and confronts the group, as a defeated Garland cringes behind him.
|
Finally, the match everyone's been waiting for (and the final fight of Disc 3, no less): Zidane, Dagger, Steiner and Vivi vs. Kuja!

Kuja gets his @$$ kicked (naturally), but his defeat unleashes the hidden power of Trance! He enjoys his newfound power by unleashing a nice blast of Ultima on the group.
|
Kuja revels in his new power, as Zidane and company, along with Garland, are all on the ground, defeated.
|
|
|
|
After Garland informed Kuja that his lifespan was limited and he was going to die soon, Kuja snaps and starts using his newfound Trance power to good use, by destroying Terra!
|
Boom.
|

|
As you can see, Kuja's done quite the overhaul on Terra, and it took him under a minute!
|
Kuja, the dirty bastard, has succeeded in torching all of Terra. It now lies on the path to destruction.
|

|
Time to escape from Terra! Eiko suggests to Zidane that they steal the Invincible to make their way back to Gaia.

Dagger and Zidane approach the teleporter which will lead back to Bran Bal (and spend some quality time together ;) ).

Dagger and Zidane, back in Bran Bal, realize they have time to gather up all the Genomes into the Invincible before having to ditch Terra.

Eiko's angry over Quina's lack of being in the Invincible like the rest of them. Could s/he have stayed behind to see what roasted Terra tastes like? Nah...give Quina a LITTLE credit, folks. ;)

We learn that the girl (Mikoto) is Zidane's sister, and was created as a backup genome in case both Zidane and Kuja failed in their attempts to destroy Gaia. She's the final genome to accompany Zidane to the Invincible.

The Invincible, complete with all the Genomes and the eight main characters, return to Gaia, only to see that the Mist had returned...not only on the Mist Continent, but around the entire world! What does Kuja have planned for Gaia now?
