Final Fantasy VIII: News July '98

August 1st - Demo Translated

At last! We can understand what's going on in the Japanese demo. There is a complete translation of the goings on here. This is of course not done by me, I found it on Obsession and I can take no credit. All I have done is made it a bit more readable. The script itself is pretty long, and for all those that thought that the dialogue in Final Fantasy 7 was a bit, well... cheesy, then you'll be pleasantly surprised... although a few parts are still a bit iffy. Also, I have found some Gameshark codes for you all.

July 23rd - Midi, MP3's and movies added

New Midi, MP3's and Movies added! I found some genuine midis and some great movies for you all! Please take a look at the downloads section.

July 19th - New character revealed - Rinoa Heartily

New character found! She's called Rinoa Heartily is supposed to be the girl that Squall is embracing In the Final Fantasy 8 Logo so it's not Lenore as we first thought. Lenore was just a early name for Rinoa, perhaps a rumour floating around on the net, but I think Rinoa's a better name (And damn fine looking too ;)

Rinoa's a happy young lady with an 'upbeat personality' and apart from that I don't know much more. More news as it comes folks... meanwhile see the character section.

July 16th - Final Fantasy 8 demo released

The Final Fantasy Demo has been released!! For info and screenshots, see here. Includes exclusive screenshots of Leviathan in action!

July 5th - New Midi

New Midi from Final Fantasy 8 now available for download in the Downloads section!! Very much the same as FF7's, but maybe a bit more 'techno' than previous stuff. Note: the PSX music will sound much better quality...

July 1st - E3 news

Wow! Download a 6MB avi file of footage taken at E3!! See the Downloads Section!! Yeah, I know it's 6MB, but it's probably worth the wait. Note: the download isn't from my Geocities space, but from another games site, it would be much quicker and besides I can't have 6MB in my precious allocation (even though Geocities gives us a whopping 11 MB free now, but still a bit slow).
