The Spy:Great spy-film stlyle music here, and very memorable too. Played when Selphie and Co. infiltrate the Missile Base.

Retaliation:Ahhhh... this is just brilliant. It's a pity it's so small (It is played in an FMV sequence). It kinda reminds me of some of the other pieces of action music in the game such as The Stage is Set but is also a part of the much larger "Movin'"

Movin':[BIG SPOILER - HIGHLIGHT TO READ]This is the main piece of music played during the the Balamb Garden 'transformation'. Pretty good 'tune'.

Blue Sky:This is one of the most beautiful and delightful pieces of music in the game... played in a gorgeous FMV scene that involves Rinoa (Ohhh... I love Rinoa so much... :). But, like Retaliation it's too small!

Drifting:This is a very emotional, touching and tear-inducing melody. Remember how you were moved to tears when you heard Anxious Heart or Aeris' Theme in FFVII? This has exactly the same quality, though I would wager it is even more powerful. Played when Squall has disturbing dreams when he is a child, it also appeared to be his theme.

Heresy:Sounds like pure evil right? Well, it's very fitting as it is played during the scene with Nogue (You know - the fat bloke with the massive hands).

Fisherman's Horizon:A great slow style theme from, you've guessed it! Fisherman's Horizon!

ODEKA ke Chocobo:This is obviously Nobuo Uematsu having a laugh with us because it sounds exactly like a MIDI chocobo theme from the NES (Yes that's NES not SNES - even though chocobos weren't in the NES installements...). Bizarre but oddly compelling (Sorta...).

Where I Belong:Played when Selphie goes back to Travia Garden but sadly it isn't very good. I didn't like the choice of instruments in this and that is probably what spoiled it.

Slide Show Part 1:An old film-styled humourous piece of music. Played when Laguna, Kiros and Ward are 'acting' in a play.

Love Grows:An absolutely stunning Eyes On Me variation (As all of them are). You won't really get much from it on its own, but in the emotional sections of the game this is simply beautiful. It is advised you don't download untill you have heard it in the game.

The Salt Flats:A very strange, original and yet incredibly absorbing and refreshing piece here from our friend Mr. Uematsu. Played during a certain dungeon area before going to Esthar.

Trust Me:This is absolutely gorgeous. You'll be moved to tears when you hear this in the game, a very emotional track. Always reminds me of Laguna...

Silence And Motion:THIS IS SO AWESOME!! I really adored this, it's played when you visit Esthar and it suits the furturistic feel perfectly. When you listen to this you always get the impression of wonder, scale, and amazement. This is one of Nobuo Uematsu's most original and characteristic compositions to date.

Dance With The Balamb-fish:Great dancing theme played in the first part of the legendary ball dance with Squall and Rinoa (Also played in Dollet when you return after the mission).

Residents:Though this music is excellent, it is played during a supremely annoying part of the game. It's rare to make such a comment like that about FFVIII but it was reeeaaally annoying. Anyway the music is pretty good (Humourous being the opperative word). If only it didn't evoke such horrible memories...

Eyes On Me: (Click here for the lyrics) - What can I say that hasn't already been said? Faye Wong and Nobuo Uematsu give us one of the all-time FF clasics. This, along with Liberi Fatali is the main theme to the game (Though this is more specifically Rinoa's theme whereas L~F epitomises the game as a whole) - elegant in terms of melody and vocals. Simply unmissable.
