Mods De Chocobo:Another great chocobo theme. (Well what else would you expect me to say...!?) 2.3MB 3/5
Ride On:A great airship theme... or should that be Ragnorak theme? Very fitting for its purpose. 2.9MB 3/5
Truth:Yet another superb witch-style composition here, yet a little more poignant and subtle. That is for a reason (Players of the game will know what I'm talking about). 3.5MB 4.5/5
Lunatic Pandora:A great piece of music to go with an enlightening part of the game. Very futuristic-sounding and yet again Nobuo Uematsu is displaying his classy composition skills. 3.3MB 4/5
Compression Of Time:This is one of the most original pieces of music I have heard, and the experiment works. A very atmospheric track, sadly it's only played in one part of the game (WTF!?). 4.3MB 4.5/5
The Castle:This is just awesome. Superb use of the organ here, and it succeeds admirably at creating the 'gothic' atnosphere for Altemesia's Castle. 6.3MB 5/5
The Legendary Beast:A superb last boss theme, played during the fight with Grevia. 5.6MB 4.5/5
Maybe I'm a Lion:A lot of people liked this but I wasn't too keen on it (Much prefered "The Legendary Beast"). I thought it sounded a little too 70's-style but then that's my opinion. Goes excellently with the game though. Played during the third form of Altemesia/Grevia. 5.3MB 3.5/5
The Extreme:Oh wow. This is amazing. The way it starts of so atmospherically with the "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" and then with the subtle piano music...turning into one of the most exciting boss battle themes ever (Rivalling, though not quite beating "One Winged Angel"). I shall never forget unleashing Squall's final desperation attack with this playing n the background. Very exhilarating. 6.4MB 5/5
The Successor:This is yet another Uematsu masterpiece. Played in the most shocking part of the ending (The other big shock being the the over-whelming quality of the ending), very effective in conveying a sense of 'shock' and then 'calm'. 3.3MB 5/5
Ending Theme:Ok. This is where I go over the top on the complimenting words. This is without a doubt the greatest ending theme yet. FFVI's ending theme was absolutely incredible (A reason alone so many people love the FFVI soundtrack). FFVII's was a disapointment. FFVIII's is just beyond amazing. Containing four tracks, all of simply astounding quality. The first part is very atmospheric, cinematic and orchestral, fitting with the first part of the ending perfectly. The second part is an orchestral version of Eyes On Me that will just blow you away. Faye Wong's beautiful voice along with Uematsu's genius melody will lift you beyond the realms of heaven. Next is the classic Final Fantasy credits theme - re-worked in orchestral form and sounding absolutely stunning. And lastly we have a wonderfully dramatic and yet again orchestral piece which has an amazing and emotional ending incorporating the classic FF prelude theme... it went so well with the last part of the ending ...my breath was just completely taken away. But please, do yourself the favour of waiting to see the ending before you download this, as the experience would be spoiled. 4.1MB 5/5
Overture:The music played during the opening credits to the game. A great piece of introduction music, but nothing mind-blowing. 4.3MB 3/5
