"Ok, Ok....First of all I would have to say, that
like everone else I would love to see the addition of Speach instead of
those Tiresome Dialouge Boxes. Next off, I would love to see More
Character Development.. You Know like be able to have options as you
play...for example if someone asks you a question you should have a few
choices of what you could say and the story would change depending of what
you said....which leads to my next wish.. MULTIPLE ENDINGS
This is what made games like Chrono Trigger so good...I mean...that game
was great. Plus I would like to see much more innovation...like moving
around during battle..(which obviously won't happen...) or being able to
Equp or UnEquip Weapons or Armor during Battle...and during war scenes I
would love to see battles like that of Suikoden or Final Fantasy
Tactics....And Please..Make sure the Game is as far away from being like
Saga Frontier. My Last Wish is Different types of Playing modes. For
Instance, say your trying to infiltrate an Enemy Stronghold.. it would be
nice to see the game switch the Metal Gear Type Playing.. Well that's all
for my wishes.. thanks for listening..

"So basically, you want Final Fantasy 8 to be more of an RPG than Final Fantasy 7 was. Final Fantasy 7 tried to be an RPG
but nothing was really affected by your decisions, it was just too linear. I think I would label Final Fantasy 7 as an 'adventure' than an RPG, so lets
hope Square take note and do something about it...

" Well, I hope they don't kill off any characters this
time... not because I was attached to Aeris though. I think they killed
Aeris to add weight to the storyline, which was cool. I mean, what better
way to emphasize the balance between life & death in the story than to
kill off one of the main characters? Anyways, if they killed off Zell,
which is just a rumor at this point, that would just seem like an attempt
to get the same reaction they got from killing Aeris. I also have a couple
other wishes. It needs to be ALLOT harder! FF7 was way too easy,
especially Sephiroth. No wonder they added the Weapons in the US version,
it was to divert our attention from the overly easy end boss.
I'd also like to see a slightly less linear game, with a whole bunch of
sidequests. Just to give it a more "RPG" feel. No matter what though the
games gonna rock! BTW : What's all the talk about the PC version of FF7?
Who cares about that? Every true FF fan gets the game as soon as possible,
which means they have the PlayStation version. Am I right? Not to put down
those poor souls without a PS though. :)

"I would like to see more secret entrances and secret
stores that you don't think you can get in to, but then one day you just
happen to find out that you can actually enter in there. uhm.. if i'm
sounding a bit vague i mean like you know when you didn't think you could
get back into midgar (or at least i didn't know you could get back in
there). well i was just strollin around one day when i found the key to
the place. i dunno... little surprises like that are cool.
Oh, and how do i get in to that place in wall market... ya know... that
strip joint? er... not like i'm some sicko or anything... heh heh. i'm
just wondering. cuz when i press the select button a red arrow shows up.
i thought maybe you could get in there. that would be funnie.
more secrets!!! more surprises!!! that's all i ask for in an RPG.
thank you good bye...

"Secrets. Ah yes, you just can't have enough secrets. An RPG just wouldn't be the same without them. I defiantely think that
Final Fantasy 8 will be packed with secrets of all kinds... To get into that 'strip joint', you've got to go when Cloud is dressed
up as a girl :)

" Well, when I saw FF7 I was I was little
disappointed. And why? Should I tell you? Ok, I explain... All Final
Fantasies should be far away from modernism. I hate RPG games, which are
connected to present day(or even to the future). When I looked FF7 first
time and saw this quite big city called Midgar, one tought
stepped to my mind:"Why they always have to do these games in modern
way.?" If I remember correctly the first Final
Fantasy was like from 14th century or something. Ok then, FF8 seems to
have some modern
"things". I bit hate that. Otherwise, I believe that FF8 will be very good
and succesful game. That's my opinion

"You're right. I would like to see the return of the old days sort of feel with dragons and castles, saving the princess, but
Final Fantasy is now a multi million blockbuster and a modern image sells basically. Final Fantasy 8 however, does contain
some 'old' bits. I think it's going to be a bit of both."

"Although the summon spells are absolutely
breathtaking, there are only so many times that I can watch the Knights of
the Round spell so there better be a button that can cut through the
summons in ff8. The ending of 7 was not nearly up to my hopes. Endless
hours of playing should not be ended that quickly. I want voices! And so
do alot of other people, so put em in the game already! I want more
exotic spells. I dont want ff8 to have any ice, bolt, or fire spells.
Now Im sure you traditionalists arent happy, but come on. There are only
so many ways to animate fire, ice and lightning. So come on programmers,
use your imaginations. Impress us!

"As an avid fan of the FF series, I have a few
complaints/suggestions that most people have been talking about lately:
-In FFVII, there needs to be more "actual changes" Lets say that a
character gets a new piece of armor. I would like to see at least a COLOR
change!! 7 was good with the weapon changes, but the clothes should be
there too.
-It would also be really cool to add a sort of action/RPG element to the
gameplay.(Zelda) I know it's main purpose is the storyline and fight
sequences, but could it hurt to have Squall jump or SOMETHING??
-I would also like to see character aging. Remember WAAAAY back to FF1? At
one point in the game, the characters are all transformed to more
adult-looking warriors. THAT would be an awesome addition!!
-Voices would also be a really cool addition.

"Changing of clothes! I never though about that one, Rather like Lara in Tomb Raider II or Resident Evil 2. Hmmm, that would be a superb addition,
and when I think about it, old Cloud looked exactly the same all through Final Fantasy 7 whether he wore the Aeris or Dragon Amlet!

"I've been playing adventure and RPG's since King's
Quest. I've played every episode of FF since the first one came out on
Nintendo.
LESS MONOTONOUS MINIGAMES!
The one thing that makes a gaming experience boring is long, drawn-out
minigame sequences. I love the idea of minigames but c'mon... the chocobo
racing in FF7 got SO boring after a while. And the Battle Square... ugh..
I mean, It's really a great idea but they need to make those minigames
more challenging and less monotonous. I like the idea of flying and
swimming chocobos. THAT would make racing thema lot more fun.
MORE AND BETTER VEHICLES!
More vehicles with better abilities would make a big difference.
PLANETS!
FF7 was great with and entire planet to explore. But, how about multiple
planets!? That opens up all kinds of possiblilities with transportation to
and from them... different atmospheres and terrains.
REALLY, REALLY HUGE ENEMIES!
I'd like to see some monsters that dwarf all characters. I mean monsters
that have 10-20 different parts. How about lots and lots of monsters..
like say 15 small ones at once...
I'm going to camp in front of my local software store the night before FF8
comes out... :-) bwah ha ha!

"I would like to see voices. Maybe even an fft type
of game where you could get new job classes , ranks, and certain spells
with one job class. There should be multiple endings depending on how you
played the game. Also, there should be aqlot of super bosses (like in
ff3). There should be another gold saucer, more towns , more interactive
backrounds AND SOMEONE GETTING MARRIED!!! They should have more armor,
accsessories, weapons, and helmets. They should show that you have these
items on when your on the world map. They should have one handed weapons
that you can have in both hands and two handed super weapons. There should
be alot more vehicles and you sdhould be able to keep all of them. You
should be able to have your entire party in any battle and finally there
should be super characters in the game. ( like someone with 10,000 hp,
completely maxed out and hard to kill.) That is all.

"Final Fantasy 7 was a really great game but it can
be refined a little bit.
I'd really like to see better looking characters . The anime thing kinda
looks stupid in ways. Make them look more realistic like RE2. The more
places to visit, the better. That is a positive to a great game. I loved
talking to many different people in Ff7. I dont know about making it more
of an Rpgish game, i kinda liked the adventure in FF7. DEFINITELY MORE
FMV'S!, THEY ARE GRRRREAT! Adding characters from FF7 into FF8 would be
cool. I'd really like to see Cid, Red XIII, and Cloud again(No Cait Sith,
i thought he was soooo stupid). Make the game MADD long(I do have a life,
but i just want more gametime:). Chocobos, Minigames, and Subquests were
awesome in FF7. Better keep those ideas in FF8. Alotta Weapons, armor,
etc., and make them cool looking(like Ultimate weapons, but put in a
couple of plain ones also). Have a Gold Sauser-like thing in the game,
it reminds me of Disneyworld. Lots of ways of transportation on the map,
cant forget that.
Ok, enough with the wants, now for the things that should dissappear! The
materia has to go! Lets get some magic and skill with leveling up. I
think there should just be one look to a character, which there were many
forms of the characters in FF7: Short and stubby, tall and more detailed,
and the hiddeous ANIME look! Please of Please get the Translation of
Dialouge right! Some sentences didnt make sense in FF7. One ending just
plain SUCKS! Do different endings like if you treat someone terrible and
they go crazy and they dont sell or give you something and you gotta make
it up to them. Well, I believe i have complained enough for today :)
